We finally got Kaylee home on Saturday at 1:00pm! The only thing she's hooked up to is the feeding tube (God answered the prayer for her to handle the full feeding of 75ml/hr..YEAH!!), and she can even carry the formula bag around with her in a backpack. She's doing quite well - occasionally complains that her abdomen hurts, but hasn't thrown up so that may be a "new normal" sensation while on the bag. The fact that she hasn't thrown up in a while possibly means that there is already less compression on the duodenum, therefore the gastric fluids are able to work their way out of the stomach through the intestines, instead of coming up. She has had a very small weight gain so far, but we're on the right track for increasing improvement.
We are all so glad to be home and the stress and anxiety for me have lessen tremendously. Thank you again for all your prayers. Our family could not have pulled through this month of sickness and suffering without you holding us up.
In His Arms,
Brenda
