Hello Everyone,
We are slowly seeing improvement. Kaylee is having very good days; however, her nights have been a little more difficult. The doctor says that is normal since she is not able to use distractions at night.
Kaylee is on a clear liquid diet and is trying to get her stomach accustom to having liquid after 2 months of nothing in her stomach. The doctors are also having her take the medications by mouth to Kaylee's dismay.
There are several goals that Kaylee must meet before she can go home: all medications by mouth or tube and manageable pain. The doctor said this type of problem takes several weeks to heal completely so we will need to be patient. I will let you know when we get to go home.
Thanks for all your prayers through this journey. We are looking forward to a little bit of normal.
