C-Diff Testing August 21, 2009 8:29pm (from Brenda)

This is an interesting thought that I want to share.  I had two people today ask if the doctors have tested by C-Diff.  (Clostridium difficile, also known as "CDF/cdf", or "C. diff", is a species of Gram-positive bacteria.) C. difficile is the most serious cause of antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD) and can lead to pseudomembranous colitis, a severe infection of the colon, often resulting from eradication of the normal gut flora by antibiotics.

Everything fits:  All this began when Kaylee was give two high powered antibiotics to cure what an urgent care doctor thought might be staph infection.  About three week later, she was in the hopsital with vomiting and extreme abdominal pain.  The reason they probably did not catch it last time was because Kaylee was given antibiotics when she was in the hospital last time to help with intestinal mobility.  The antibiotics would have fought back the C. diff bacteria and made it seem Kaylee was getting better.  Well, three week later she is back in the hospital with same symptoms.  The doctors are going to test her stool for the C. diff bacteria.

It would be so awesome if this is the answer because about 40 people have been praying and fasting over the last few days and this diagnosis came from God putting it on peoples mind to bring this to our attention.

I will keep you posted.
